10:45 pm - Detained Chapter 12 --Detonation Part 1
First off, let me apologize for the delay and the lack of response to comments...I have just been really busy and exhausted. But...I come bearing an older chapter...but one with actual Marcus/Katie interaction in it! (SPOILER ALERT). Hopefully it will be new for some of you. I am writing and will be catching up, but hopefully somebody will enjoy the repost of this. :)

12:55 pm - Headband Project: Do you watch Gossip Girl?
Sorry for being AWOL for so long guys. Life has been...life.
I don't know if many people on my f-list watch Gossip Girl but I used to be a big fan of the show in general. It has become *awful*, kind of sexist and just obliterating characters right and left. I just found out about this fan campaign that is protesting the changes in characterization and sloppy writing, called the Headband Project: headbandproject.livejournal.com So, if anyone else is frustrated with the show (and especially to my mind the HORRIBLE and unfair way that they're writing Blair and Chuck/Blair this season (especially after last season)), please participate. They want everyone to send in a letter or postcard with a few words (or more) detailing the changes that upset you the most on Nov. 20th. The livejournal site I listed has a lot more ideas as well. Also, if you're so inclined, they're asking people to spread the word and if you want, change your icon to one of their cool ones. They have facebook and twitter sites as well.
For those wondering about Detained, I am so sorry for not getting back to you. Expect at least a snippet within the next 10 days on the lj. I will try to get to comments and stuff soon...but life has been life squared actually and I'm a bit overwhelmed.

06:15 pm - Detained Chapter 1 -- Initiation
Thanks to the efforts of the wonderful ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) teamie I now have Detained back again. I'll be posting chaps here and to fanfiction.net. That might result in a very brief clogging of your friends list, so if anyone wants to defriend me over it I won't be offended.
Thanks again to teamie, and all the other wonderful people who offered help. You guys are awesome.

12:14 am - Minor crisis....
Uh, does anyone happen to have a copy of Detained? Chasers apparently is no more and while I was calm initially, I am starting to panic a bit. I am having momentary difficulty laying my hands on one. I am sure after digging through back ups or working through my current brain freeze I can eventually find one.
I've got the outline of plans for it, and the newest chapter that I'm working on. I've got copies of most the amazing reviews you guys have left. I just have managed to somehow MISPLACE THE ENTIRE REST OF THE STORY.
Again...if anyone does for some reason happen to have a copy and would be willing to send it to my e-mail...I will forever be in your debt. If not, I will eventually find one of my backups I'm sure.

11:07 pm - I'm sorry.
I really am so so sorry for the long delay. I wrote 2500 words on Detained over the past couple days so hopefully soon, if anyone is still reading (and this isn't a plea for responses really, you guys have been more generous in that regard). I have been really really remiss in getting back with people and I'm sorry. That's all I wanted to say.
As soon as the new chapter is up, I will start responding to back e-mails and reviews, probably startling the hell out of people: "Who is this chick that's writing me? What the hell is she talking about? Let's go check her lj. Hmmm. She's a fruit loop who threatens violence on television characters. Better change my e-mail address."
Yes, clearly this is a well thought out plan.

08:20 pm - Dumb little snippet
I'm revising and trying to work out the blocks on the oft-delayed chapter of Detained. One thing I think I have gone astray on is being too indulgent with peripheral characters and scenes, so I'm making some cuts in hope of creating more momentum in the scene. I thought I'd post one of the snippets I cut, in case anyone finds it amusing. It's possible a few lines will end up in the chapter, but most will probably be cut. I've tried throughout to have everything in the fic ultimately be about or reflect back on Marcus and Katie and this screamed "filler" at me on a re-read. However a few things in it made me laugh, and I didn't want to just delete it.
